Root canal treatments can be used to remove infection found at the very root of the tooth. This infection often causes increased pain and toothache, and can even cause an abscess to form.
During the treatment, we will remove any damaged parts of the tooth, disinfect and remove any infection, and seal the tooth back up again. For the tooth to regain full function, we may also have to affix a crown for some patients, but this is by no means necessary in all cases.
At SnapeHill, all root canal treatments are performed using an operating microscope which allows for a more thorough treatment of the tooth and can help provide a more predictable outcome. Our highly trained and compassionate team members have years of experience in providing this treatment. This means that although some patients can feel nervous when receiving a root canal treatment, you are always in good hands. Local anaesthetic is administered in all root canal treatments, meaning you won’t feel any discomfort or pain, and we can also offer sedation to those who feel they need it.
