Ceramic braces work in a similar way to traditional metal braces, but are made with different materials, making them appear less noticeable and more natural.
Using brackets and archwires, much like traditional braces, ceramic braces can move the teeth into the desired position. They are fitted to the front of the teeth, but are made with clear ceramic blocks and tooth-coloured wires. Because of this, they are much more subtle than metal braces and many patients find them more comfortable.
Like traditional metal braces, the duration of the treatment varies from patient to patient and is often dependent on the position of the teeth at the beginning of the treatment. It’s worth noting, however, that ceramic braces can take longer to produce the desired results than metal braces.
